Pedro B. Velloso received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He received the PhD degree from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6) in 2008. He spent one year as a post-doc researcher at Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris 6 in 2008/2009. He has worked as a research engineer at Bell Labs France. He is now an associate professor at the computer science department of the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in Brazil. His interests are in distributed applications, wireless communications, and security.
