ࡱ> )+(bjbjUU >??  0UWWWWWWZWWlUUA9A0<WW :RESUMO O presente trabalho trata de uma extenso do mtodo do Tubo de Trajetrias para resolver as equaes de Navier-Stokes dependentes do tempo para um fluido newtoniano incompressvel. O resultado uma metodologia fisicamente intuitiva cuja formulao se baseia nos fundamentos tericos da mecnica dos meios contnuos. Esta verso do mtodo do Tubo de Trajetrias baseia-se numa discretizao temporal semi-Lagrangiana que emprega o teorema de transporte de Reynolds e uma abordagem de localizao para estabelecer um algoritmo semi-Lagrangiano implcito que permite o uso de esquemas clssicos para a discretizao espacial, tais como frmulas de diferenas centradas, sem a necessidade de usar tcnicas de ``upwind'' ou correes de alta ordem para derivadas no tempo. Aps testes numricos usando valores diferentes para o nmero de Reynolds tpicos de fluxos dominados pela adveco, o mtodo proposto mostrou-se preciso e capaz de trabalhar com malhas menos refinadas. ABSTRACT This work deals with an extension of the Path Tubes method for the solution of the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations for an incompressible Newtonian fluid. Departing from a physically intuitive methodology based on the theoretical basis of the mechanics of continuous media, a robust numerical technique is obtained. This version of the Path Tubes method draws on a semi-Lagrangian time-discretization that employs the Reynolds' transport theorem, and a localization approach, to establish an implicit semi-Lagrangian algorithm that allows the use of classical schemes for spatial discretization, such as central-difference formulas, without the need to use upwind techniques, or high-order corrections for time derivatives. Some of the extensive numerical tests are shown herein, in particular for Reynolds' numbers typical of advection dominated flows. The tests show the method is accurate, even for coarse grids.
