Estas informaes muitas vezes esto distribudas em banco de dados de diferentes provedores, fazendo com que os profissionais da sade possuam conhecimento altamente incompleto do paciente. Nesse sentido, a presente tese aborda o tema da preservao de dados clnicos de um indivduo durante seu ciclo de vida. De acordo literatura identificamos que na rea de sade os documentos clnicos devem ser preservados historicamente, porm, essa preocupao pouco explorada. Para isso, esta tese prope um metamodelo, que em alto nvel de abstrao, permita representar a integrao de processos clnicos (eventos temporais relacionados sade que geram documentos clnicos), a representao do pronturio eletrnico e sua preservao a longo prazo. A metodologia adotada nesta tese baseada no Design Science Research (DSR) e consiste em cinco passos: identificao do problema, sugesto, desenvolvimento, validao e concluso. A etapa de identificao do problema consiste em procurar fontes de conhecimento sobre a preservao digital no domnio da sade e identificar suas carncias. Na etapa de sugesto se prope um metamodelo para facilitar a visualizao de processos clnicos, pronturio eletrnico do paciente e preservao digital. Isto como resultado de uma reviso bibliogrfica sistemtica da literatura, visto que no se encontrou uma representao similar. Na etapa de desenvolvimento se formaliza o metamodelo que est baseado no meta-metamodelo Ecore e construdo no Eclipse Modeling Framework. A validao realizada por meio da instanciao de modelos que descrevem cenrios criados com base em questes de competncia. Finalmente na concluso se analisa os resultados obtidos, o qual se considera promissor para os cenrios desenvolvidos. Portanto, o metamodelo ajudar a entender como o processo de gerao de dados clnicos e sua posterior preservao. Abstract There is an exponential growth of clinical information that is generated and stored daily in the information systems at hospitals and health centers. This information is often distributed in databases of different providers, making health professionals have highly incomplete knowledge of the patient. In this sense, the present thesis addresses the issue of clinical data preservation of an individual during his life cycle. According to the literature, we identified that in the health area, clinical documents should be preserved historically, however, this concern is little explored. For this reason, this thesis proposes a meta-model, which, at a high level of abstraction, allows representing the integration of clinical processes (temporal events related to health that generate clinical documents), the representation of the electronic health record and its long-term preservation. The methodology adopted in this thesis is based on Design Science Research (DSR) and consists of five steps: problem identification, suggestion, development, validation and conclusion. The problem identification stage consists of looking for sources of knowledge about digital preservation in the health field and identifying its needs. In the suggestion stage, a meta-model is proposed to facilitate visualization of clinical processes, electronic health records and digital preservation. This as a result of a systematic literature review, since no similar representation was found. In the development stage, the meta-model is formalized, based on the Ecore meta meta-model and built on the Eclipse Modeling Framework. Validation is performed by instantiating models that describe scenarios created based on competence questions. Finally, the conclusion analyzes the results obtained, which is considered promising for the scenarios developed. Therefore, the meta-model will help to understand the process of generating clinical data and its subsequent preservation.
